18 Months!

Eliza is 18 months old! She is at such a fun age, even if teething is at full throttle. My friend, Allison, took some adorable pictures of her, even though she was pretty grumpy.

Wowza

Well, if I say its been a long time since my last post, that'd be a pretty big understatement. So here are some random pictures from my phone to make me feel a little less guilty.

 At a zoo outside of the Wisconsin Dells. This picture cracks us up. Eliza displaying the giraffe.  She actually really likes giraffes, which you can't tell from this picture.

 Hoarding apples at the apple orchard.  There are so many apples this year-- hooray! Last year there weren't any.

 This is very out of order, but here is Eliza on a carousel at City Park for the first time. She was crying just seconds before this picture was taken.

Eliza is 18 months old today! I can hardly believe that she is already that old.  She is so much fun and is definitely a strong-willed little girl.  I can hardly remember life before she was born. 

Some of Eliza's favorites are:

• Dancing! This girl loves to dance more than just about anything else.
• Dogs, especially my family's dog, Dash.
• Books! I love it.
• Puzzles and blocks-- she loves fitting things together.
• Anything sweet, especially ice cream.  She gets that from her Daddy. (And maybe me...)
• Bubbles
• Playing at the park.  She loves going down slides, but doesn't really love swings.
• "Playing" with her little friends.
• "Helping" us and doing whatever Mommy and Daddy are doing.
• High School Musical.  She is a VERY big fan.                                                                                                                                      We love our little munchkin!

Teething

There have been some off days lately, mostly due to some teeth that are deciding that its finally time to come through.  

Good thing she is so cute when she's grumpy.

Coloring.

A week or so ago, Eliza and I were going a little crazy on a rainy day without a car.  I whipped out crayons that I had from when I was teaching, and Eliza loved them! 

 I was in shock that she figured out where the crayon is supposed to go! What a natural.

 So focused. She even got a couple of little marks on the paper every once in a while.

 How is the world can she balance like that? Let alone draw?

Easter

Easter was forever ago! Here are some cute pictures of our little one on Easter Sunday.

Crazy how fast time flies by! Eliza was just barely a month old last Easter... She's still pretty darn cute, just with a few more opinions and tricks up her sleeve.

A Visitor from the South

This post is way overdue! As always.  We were lucky enough to have Andrew's brother, Matt, come to visit us.  He left his warm North Carolina to spend time in snowy Iowa.  We had a blast and are so glad he could come! 

 This one of Eliza cracks me up for some reason.

They're pretty much making the same face in this one...she's just trying to be just like Uncle Matt, I guess.

We miss you already! Now we need an excuse to go to North Carolina...
